Break in

It was just a rainy day, and whats more, I had to do school that really put me into a depressing mood. I think at this time I was doing math, everyone knows how much I like math...... As I was just about to figure out what the square root of 9 was I heard a kid crying, at first I thought it was something to do with the wind and the rain outside but upon further investigation (that thankfully took me away from that dreadful math) I saw a little boy running, shirtless and sock less, down the road crying. Once recovered from the shock of seeing a boy running down the street, not fully dressed, crying in the pouring rain I turned on my heels and headed for the door grabbing a towel on the way out. I then proceeded to sprinting after the poor boy catching up to him almost immediately, I wrapped him into the towel and pulled him into a hug. As soon as  I had the boy in my arms, the wind and the rain picked up,  so I decided to bring him in the house. In the house I conducted a quick investigation, with a series of questions I asked the boy, upon asking him these questions I had discovered that his mom had left him and his brother in the house. With the information I found out what house the boy ha come from, and I decided that for the safety of the baby I had a right to enter that house and see if he was okay. So I approached the house knocking on all the doors, and windows to see if anyone would answer, I finally came back to the front of the house where I found that the little boy must have gotten out of a window which had its screen placed beside it. I inspected the door to see if I could simply walk in, but found it was locked, so I approached the window and yelled through to make sure no one was inside (or to find out rather) with no answer I leaned through the window to inspect the surroundings, seeing that I would land on a couch I let my self in. Once inside I was stunned to find that every electrical appliance in the house was going, along with an open flame stove, I moved over to the counter and unplugged everything and then turned off the stove. After shutting off all the appliances I moved to the door to see if I could open it, only to find that you had to use a key to open it from the inside as well as the outside. Finding that I had no safe exit if anything happened I made the window as clear as I could so that I could simply run out the window. After making a safe as possible exit I finally started to advance through the house, calling out as I checked each room. Presently I came to the last room in the house where I found a baby no more than 2 months old sleeping on the bed. I decided instead of leaving the house to make sure the police were contacted, I would just take the baby with me and then his brother would be able to keep the baby calm if the baby was startled by the presence of a stranger, so I moved in attempting to keep the baby in his sleeping state. Upon the successful attempt of getting the baby in my arms with out waking him up, I discovered that I now had to make it through the window, which again with some thought I made it through without waking the baby, I then brought him quickly through the rain while shielding him fro the rain to my house, where my older sister had sat the other boy with my younger siblings in front of the television, and she had already contacted my dad who was just outside, and he had contacted the police. I decided the best thing for me to do was to go and stand outside the other house, where I had recently successfully extracted the baby, in case the mom came back so she wouldn't be panicked, thankfully the police arrived first and they dealt with the situation....

wow that was funn..... true story

Traffic

During my 16 years of living in Vancouver B.C. one of the things I noticed was the "stupidity" of many people who lived there. For example on many occasions I've seen people let their kids run towards busy streets. No acceptions were made on one particular day.

My sister (M) and I used to go for walks everyday, at about the same time that school was let out. We would follow the same route that would come to a busy road, and across that road was a school. Well on this particular day, traffic was heavy, and across the road I could  see a little boy running towards it with his elderly guardian a good distance behind him, she was struggling to catch up to him. Before the guardian could catch up to the boy, he reached the road and started to head across it without a care in the world. Noticing that another wave of heavy traffic was on its way, I dodged through traffic that was already there. Nearly getting hit by a car, I reached the boy exactly in the middle of the road. Once there I grabbed the boy securely in my arms and waited for the traffic to stop, and I proceeded towards the guardian. The boy not to proud of me ruining his funn and grabbing him so quickly, jumped at the elderly lady to get away from me.....I told her not to let him do that again, while panting for breath and waiting for my heart to stop beating half way out of my chest.....
